Scholarships in Canada are limited and are not easy to find. Some institutions in Canada offer international scholarships to students with excellent academic results. The amount of different Canadian institutions differ from each other and generally it covers only part of a student' educational and living expenses. Obtaining a scholarship is not a child's play, it is highly competitive and applications must be made directly to the university with the application for admission. There is usually no scholarship offered by career colleges and private schools. Various organizations in Canada administer scholarship programs in several countries. However, they are usually meant for graduate students and professors who are into studying and researching. To get a scholarship, students should also check in their home country (public and private organizations) for any financial aid that is offered to students to study abroad.

Ontario graduate Scholarship Program

Ontario Graduate Scholarship program is offered to graduate students in a wide variety of disciplines. To be eligible for this program, student must be accepted to an Ontario University and must have a valid student authorization.

It stands for National Science and Engineering Research Council is a national instrument and it supports both basic university research through research grants and projects research via partnerships of universities and industry.
