Loan to study in Canada

Given below are the criteria to receive Canada Study Grants, a student must meet at least one of the following-

  • You are permanently disabled
  • You require exceptional financial assistance
  • You have children
  • You are a woman who is enrolled in some Doctoral studies.

As per student's financial need and qualifying circumstances, Canada Study Grants is issued direct by the Government and amount ranges from $2000 to $8000 per school year. If under any circumstance, you fail to complete your degree program or you leave school early for any reason, you must pay back your Canada Study Grants.

Bursaries

Bursaries are awards so they do not have to repay by students. They are offered by the government to needy students on the basis of their academic results or demonstrated acts of remarkable citizenship.

Scholarship

Some private foundations and community organizations also offer smaller scholarships funds throughout Canada. These scholarships are rewarded to those students who meet specified eligibility conditions like ethnicity, community involvement, academic achievement or residency in a particular community. You can get connected with these private scholarships foundations and competition with the help of provincial or territorial financial aid organizations.

Student loans

The Canadian Government with provincial aid organization provides subsidized student loans to lift up the financial burden from students. Students who qualify for the loan receive 60% of their loan amount as a disbursement from their Canada Student Loan.

Eligibilities for Financial aid

  • Students must be citizen or permanent resident of the province in which they apply for student assistance.
  • For a Canadian citizen who is planning to fly overseas to attend a college or university must enroll in a Canadian institution’s exchange program to qualify for financial aid.
