All Canadian universities admission process is different from one another and international students are advised to pre -plan for their studies in Canada at-least a year ago. Deadlines of various academic programs and universities differ from each other. For instance, in some cases a program has two start dates in an academic year and two deadlines are offered i.e. October 15 for admission to January and April 15 to September. Master’s programs at the renowned universities of Canada receive the maximum applications world-wide and tend to fill-up much quicker than other courses therefore; it is advised to fill up the application quickly. Usually all the universities in Canada charge a modest application fee and rarely waive this requirement.

You can request for the application form via university website and most of the universities’ form can be found on their websites which you can complete online to request application material. You can even download these forms from the university website since most of the websites have a downloading option and also get a print out of it.

You need to fill up all specific information of each program and today almost every college has its application available on-line. However, if you do not want to download or complete the form online then you may call or write to the college to have application form mailed to you. You need to ensure that the application is neat since any goof-up or messiness in the form gives a false impression about you. It is better to type various pieces of personal information on a page instead of writing by hand.

Application Fee

You need to attach various other important documents along with the application form such as academic certificates, extra-curricular activities, recommendation letter, grade transcript, essays, statement of purpose etc. Normally, university asks $50 to 150 as an application fee, to process up all these mentioned documents.

Statement of Purpose

A personal statement of purpose includes your reasons for choosing a particular program, your personal interest and goals.

Letter of Recommendation

Letter of recommendation is very crucial for the college you have selected to study. You can select a group of people who can vouch for your dependability. You may include – your college principal, employers, colleagues or friends etc.

Standardized Test Scores

It is very crucial to score well in the standardized tests like GMAT, GRE, TOEFL IELTS, SAT to get into the best known college or institution of Canada. A number of schools consider your best score rather than your most recent score.
